    Head out of Dunstaffnage Marina at Oban to the world famous Corryvreckan Whirlpool (the 3rd largest whirlpool in the world) via the Sound of Kerrera with views of Gylne Castle , the Atlantic Bridge , Easdale and the slate islands.

    The Gulf of Corryvreckan (from the Gaelic Coire Bhreacain meaning "cauldron of the speckled seas" is a narrow strait between the islands of Jura and Scarba.

    Enjoy the amazing scenery and see sea eagles, porpoises, minke whales and more.

    Strong Atlantic currents and unusual underwater topography create the particularly intense tidal race in the Corryvreckan channel, creating whirlpools, standing waves and a variety of other surface effects.

    The return sailing takes in the beautiful and remote Garvellach islands.

    To get to Dunstaffnage Marina by road:
    (Sat Nav – PA37 1PX)

    From Oban and the South: follow the A85 to Fort William for about three miles.  Dunstaffnage Marina is the road on the left hand side just after the turning for Dunbeg and Dunstaffnage Castle.

    From Glasgow/Fort William and the North:  follow the road to Oban and two miles past Connel you arrive at Dunstaffnage Marina on the right hand side next to the road.
