About Us

We are a family run business, proud to have been operating on the River Clyde for the past 100 years. We are owned and managed by Clyde Marine Services Ltd who have supplied marine services on the Clyde for several generations. With extensive local knowledge we are experts in our field who have unrivaled knowledge of the entire Clyde area.

Safety

Safety is of the utmost importance to Clyde Clippers, our vessels conform to all safety regulations and undergo annual dry docking and certification by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

The vessels are equipped with electronic navigation and are in full radio contact with the harbour authorities and coastguard at all times. Our vessels are also fully equipped with life-jackets and self inflating life rafts.

Reduced Mobility Passengers

It is recommended that wheelchair users enquire in advance of any intended sailings. As our vessels were built some time ago, there are no special facilities on-board for disabled passengers.Whilst we welcome disabled passengers on-board  we apologise if we are unable to carry passengers if the crew determine that it would be unsafe to board passengers for this reason.

Prams & bikes welcome

Prams and bikes are welcome on-board given their is adequate space for their storage.  Please note that passengers are responsible for carrying  prams/bikes on-board.

Dogs

We welcome well behaved dogs on-board.

Departure Times

Passengers should assemble at departure points at least 5 minutes prior to the advertised departure time.

Tickets

All tickets are valid for use on day of purchase (if purchased on boat) or day stated om online booking confirmation only.

Refunds

Lost Tickets

Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility or offer a replacement for lost or misplaced tickets.

Cancelled Sailings

We will endeavour to update our website/Facebook and Twitter account should a sailing be cancelled for any reason.  We will also endeavour to post signs at the relevant pontoons, however please note that this is not always logistically possible.

Group Bookings

If you have a large group, wishing to travel together on the same service please call our office on 01475 721 281, we cannot always guarantee this but will endeavour to accommodate.
