In conjunction with the Energetica Walking and Wildlife Festival, this cruise will focus on the wildlife of Aberdeen bay and Girdleness. This is an area packed with wildlife and we may see terns, guillemots, seals and dolphins before we even leave the harbour.
May is one of the best times to be on the water as summering seabirds have returned and are busy finding food were the river and seawaters meet. The star of the trip is likely to be the Bottlenose Dolphins that often put on a great display of hunting and socialising.
The trip will be guided by Ian Hay from the East Grampian Coastal scientist who has 10 years experience of watching and recording whales and dolphins locally.
