Classroom on the Clyde
Come aboard the Classroom on the Clyde for an educational trip down the river.
We offer 2 hour river cruises from the Glasgow City Centre to Clydebank.
- Educational, informative and fun experience for children to see for themselves some unique aspects of the River Clyde and the region’s heritage.
- Informative commentary covers wildlife, shipping, historical and environmental aspects of the river and its banks.
- Commentary includes the rise and decline of the heavy industries through to the re-birth of the river and its modern day environment.
- Suitable for children over 7.
- Supports Clyde Waterfront curriculum resources.
Booking Information
- special schools rate of £400 only available to Primary and Secondary schools within the Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Council areas which is supported by Clyde Waterfront Strategic Partnership sponsorship.
- please note that due to significantly increased fuel costs and Clyde Waterfront Strategic Parnership’s limited funds, the “Classroom on the Clyde” rate for all other schools is £800. However, this equates to £10 per child for larger bookings of 80 pupils or more which is very competitive versus the equivalent corporate hire, given the passenger facilities and Clyde Waterfront information onboard the MV Cruiser. Maximum capacity is 125 passengers
